100 New Children’s Books from Chikiting Books

Chikiting Books, Vibal Group’s children’s books imprint, continues to grow its portfolio with the launch of new titles. This year, in time for the celebration of National Children’s Book Month, Vibal rolled out a total of 100 new storybooks for children from ages three to twelve years old.

Among the titles launched were Francisco V. Coching, Ang Hari ng Komiks by Eugene Y. Evasco, which shows the value of reading and finding one’s style in art; Ang Bayaning si Butbut by Rosario Torres-Yu which uses science and facts to tell a story on how bats live; and Sophia and her New Baby Sister by Lara Christie depicts love for a new sibling and how to be a responsible member of the family.

These books help children address real life questions, concerns, and values in a form with which they can easily identify. Young readers can easily follow the stories in English and Filipino and develop their language skills, fostering a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
